This was my daughter's 2nd time to skate at "Ice" in downtown Santa Monica. She had a great time during her 1st visit, so we returned this yr. Nearby parking is convenient w/a small fee. … More It's a small quaint rink (loved their mini zamboni). Was nice to see a crowd. Daughter had a greater time this yr. The security was VERY supportive of her & her skating skills (they're amazing & noticed how they love to skate). Within 1 hr, approx 15 people surrounded/introduced themselves to my daughter. She tried to help who she could, was so happy to give advice/free skating lessons, & spread the love of skating. The people & staff were kind & cordial. My daughter made new friends & they now keep in touch via social media. They asked when she'll be around in hopes to skate w/her again. She was honored & humbled by this. People can forget addresses, locations, & names, but they never forget how they "felt" at a particular time & location...and that's why we returned to "Ice." We hope this seasonal event continues to be a success.

Such a fun experience! They had everything you could want and need. There were so many people there, it was very popular. I loved the hot chocolate stations. I wonder if they have skating classes. I was … More soo bad at it.

What a steal!! Love it!! For $20, it includes rentals and 12pm-10pm ice skating. All you need to do is keeping the wristband they gave at the entrance (where you bought the ticket basically). The wristband … More gives a re-entry to the event on that day. The ice rink is serviced every 1:30hr or so (10mins). Instructors are friendly and helpful! There is a little kids rink too. Lockers are $5 each. You need to provide an ID to rent it. They look small but are actually quite deep and can fit a lot of stuff. There are cubicle restrooms but I can’t seem to get water to flow. Food and drinks in the event were like $5-20. Paid parking in the lot or nearby garages. I walked a few streets from the Metro station. The event is pretty easy to locate. Love the outdoor vibes! Wish they were here until Valentines!

The best! Mgr Jeremy was so accommodating and the rest of the staff was all smiles on the last day of the season.

It's great to have ice skating in Southern California, and even better so close to the beach. Super organized experience with reservations that include time and rental skates. The reservations keep … More the crowd lower than open skating however they still overbook so can get a bit crowded. Also, the ice melts and puddles of water form on hotter days. Nevertheless, this is a great place for kids and adults alike.

Gets busy quick, we got there about 15 minutes early (I believe they close for 30 minutes every hour to run the Zamboni) since we were some of the first people on the ice it was great, but as the hour … More went on it got pretty busy. This was at 2:30 on a Saturday. It was great skating on real ice, much better than other places that offer a fake ice. Food and drinks are available, as well as socks and lockers for purchase if you need!

The Ice at Santa Monica event was an amazing think the Netflix team did for the community. They had ice rinks for free but even had it for free if you wanted to wait a little longer. They had hot cocoa … More there for if you were cold and was very satisfying. Always kept the ice nicely paved

The kids absolutely love it. They spent the whole day skating and didn't want to leave. Highly recommended.
