Had the pleasure of skating at this fantastic little rink in Santa Monica on January 7th. Was super lucky as there were only 4 other people on the ice, so we all had our own space. Was my first time skating … More on an outdoor ice rink in sunny California, I hope to do it again someday. The ice captain was super friendly and chill, they definitely have the right person doing that job. -
The kids and ourselves had a great time. They had little penguin helpers for the kids and staff around the skating ring helping out whoever needed it. The smile says it all!!!

It's a small outdoor ice skating rink close to everything in Santa Monica. We had a fun time skating in the new year. The price is for a 1 hour skating time. Then everyone leaves for the next group. … More Would recommend going when it's less crowded

This was my daughter's 2nd time to skate at "Ice" in downtown Santa Monica. She had a great time during her 1st visit, so we returned this yr. Nearby parking is convenient w/a small fee. … More It's a small quaint rink (loved their mini zamboni). Was nice to see a crowd. Daughter had a greater time this yr. The security was VERY supportive of her & her skating skills (they're amazing & noticed how they love to skate). Within 1 hr, approx 15 people surrounded/introduced themselves to my daughter. She tried to help who she could, was so happy to give advice/free skating lessons, & spread the love of skating. The people & staff were kind & cordial. My daughter made new friends & they now keep in touch via social media. They asked when she'll be around in hopes to skate w/her again. She was honored & humbled by this. People can forget addresses, locations, & names, but they never forget how they "felt" at a particular time & location...and that's why we returned to "Ice." We hope this seasonal event continues to be a success.

Always a nice place to come to make memories. Inexpensive and lovely for the Holidays. Good Family fun all outside. Beautiful way to spend the night or day!

I would really prefer if they’d sell tickets “first come first serve” rather than by reservation only. People there are great but I wish they would play anything besides Taylor Swift remixes 🫣

Notes if you wanna get it to 100:
-food should be from local food trucks instead of fast food. Let them park in the giant parking Nextdoor and setup … More an ordering system for the fire pit booths.
-skates are all old and some shoelaces brown with rusting both the regular and hockey style. Please upgrade a bit the oldest inventory. I’ve been multiple days and had rough skates
-I’d recommend comes to form an inner and outer ring
-I’d recommend padding on the ends of rinks lots of ppl slamming into it
-more lights at night but less of the white shiny blinding type -
It was such a great experience. It was my children's and my first time, and I have to say it is something very funny. Great place very friendly. I'm going back.
